What Comes Next #NicGoesToTokyo Day 3

What is the point of this blog post? Nothing significant really hahaha! Basically this is just a photo dump of what happened next after our conquest to the Studio Ghibli Museum in Mitaka. Given that we went there early, and we have practically the whole afternoon to waste, we decided to lounge at the Inokashira park and take a couple of snaps. I mean, what's the point of having your boyfriend bring a couple of lens to Japan if you're not going to make the most out of it?

As I have mentioned in my previous post, the Studio Ghibli museum is located within the Inokashira park in Mitaka, which meant the building is surrounded by lush surroundings, and even a baseball field! At the time of our visit there was like a junior league game happening, which delighted Ken because he actually liked baseball- something I found out that day hahaha! Since I am not really a fan of baseball, or any sport to be honest (maybe except badminton because I am pretty good at it AY WOW) I resorted to a nearby bench to watch cute little Japanese kids taking turns at the swings while I cradle a hot drink on my palms.

One thing I'm truly envious of other countries are the number of well-maintained parks that they have. For some reason it felt like in any city or district in Japan, whether you are in Tokyo or Fukuoka, you'll stumble upon a small park where you can just chill with a bottle of Sangaria you buy off a nearby vendo machine, and just enjoy your little alone time. Heck, some parks, like this one in Inokashira have clean restrooms that have Toto toilets (the ones that have bidets) in it! They don't necessarily have playground facilities, or restrooms in EVERY park, but they all seem to look well-maintained that even if a couple of people would decide to have a couple of beers and onigiris there at night the morning after you won't even see a single can in sight!

WHY CAN'T WE HAVE PARKS WITH VENDO MACHINES IN THE PHILIPPINES????? Oh yeah, they are now sprawling multi-level shopping malls with 1000-car capacity car parks to boot. Don't get me wrong, I love going to malls (mainly because of free airconditioning, WOOHOO!), but it tends to be draining for one's soul to be incessantly reminded to buy stuff you really don't need, rather than see lush trees, and birds pooing at nearby parked cars. Why can't we have good things? HAHAHUHUHU </3

Me right now at 3 a.m. while writing this.
me right now at 3 A.M., remembering all the parks that we can't have here in Manila

ANYHOOO, now that I have let out a quick rant, I shall continue with how the day fair for us.

We just went to Shinjuku to shop for Pasabuys. The end.

Oh and here's Ken running away from Gojira HAHAHA!

いつも愛してる,

Nicole <3
