As a refresher, the main purpose of this trip was for a "study tour," hosted by TikTok for FineToday APAC (my old job), hence I was in China for less than 4 days. It was a great opportunity for me to understand the app from a business perspective and learn the best practices to grow a business on that platform.
Looking back, I actually have a couple of regrets, such as:
1. I should have requested to extend a day or two and explore the city more, even if that meant I would do it alone.
2. I should have gone to Disneyland Shanghai!
3. I should have bought a Songmont bag!
4. I should have taken more photos... of myself LOL!
Going back to the present day, 2026, Nicole, I suppose there's really no point in thinking about the "I should have s, and instead look forward and be hopeful that I'll be able to return to Shanghai and be an actual tourist while there 😀 *Fingers crossed!*
