Growing up, I legit thought Peaches are the same as Pears! HAHAHA! I don't know why I had that thinking, that's why during my first travel to Japan I don't get the hype about peaches, and why are they obsessed with it that they have peaches flavor of EVERYTHING! I kid you not, they even have those water that tasted like peaches - and no, I am not talking about juice, it really is peach water haha!

This is it pancit.
OKAAAY Anyway, once again we are veering away from what we are going to talk about today, and that is ...

Yes, another make-up review, and YES, another Korean brand!

Just a quick background, I actually got this along with other 5 beauty goodies from the online store, Charis' Mystery Lucky Bag promo, where if you buy a mystery bag worth Php 700 + Php 100 shipping (applicable if you live in Metro Manila, Philippines) you get to have around 3 items that are definitely worth more than Php 700! Not bad ehh?

Anyway, one of the brands that HiCharis.Net carries is Peach C, which is a Korean cosmetics brand that also carries eyeshadows, foundations, and other different formulations of lipsticks. To be honest, if it weren't for the Charis Mystery Lucky bag promo I wouldn't know a thing or two about this brand 🤷🏻‍♀️

And with that, come and join me know more about this Peach C Semi-Matte Lipstick in shade Pure C.

The box looks like the gradient color of how a peach fruit looks like. On the side, you can see the ingredients list written in Korean, which is pretty much a norm with every cosmetics item in the market.

At the bottom part, you'll see the shade name, as well as the color of the lipstick.

The lipstick itself is encased in a matte finish pale Pink tube that has the brand name on its bottom part. At the bottom of the lipstick, you'll once again see the shade name, as well as the expiration date of the product- which I strongly commend.

Usually, with cosmetic products that come with a box, the inscription of the expiry date is printed in the box. Unless you have a penchant for keeping boxes of your make-up, this won't be helpful in keeping tabs on how long you should be using your make-up.

With the help of Google Lens, I was able to check ingredients and other details about this Korean product. I am no chemist, but upon checking I did not see anything as odd as formaldehyde or arsenic in it, so we cool hahaha char.

Now, in terms of consistency and pigmentation, I definitely have my two cents on this matter. The product claims that it is a semi-matte lipstick, but tbh it definitely feels more satiny. Like most tube matte lipstick, where lipstick mattifies after several seconds of its application on the skin, but this one stays satiny. Although it isn't so glossy, for some reason it feels like a less saucy lipgloss, but definitely not a matte lipstick. On the bright side, with this consistency the lipstick feels really moisturizing to the lips that even after awhile your lips won't feel dry- that, I love!

As for pigmentation, with just one swipe you'll definitely see the color pay-off, much like how a satin lippie performs. On the tube, the color appears to be a bit dustier, but once applied it's actually bright. There's also a difference between the application on the forearm vs. the lips! Once it's on my lips, it looks very orange-y hahaha!

How many swipes do I need to get a full lip of lipstick, you ask? 2!

To cap off this review, the last and one of the most important factors for me in picking a make-up, let's talk about its staying power.

Being the lazy girl that I am who adores small bags, I hate bringing a lot of make-up with me, as well as re-applying! Wearing a mask has been a tiny 'yey' thing for me since I can get away not retouching my lippie after having a hearty lunch! Given these ramblings, it's a must for me to have a make-up product that stays longer than all of my exes haha ayyy!

Told yah, it looks shiny!

Before leaving my house at around 7:30 A.M., I gave my lips 2 quick swipes of this lipstick, then proceed on putting on my mask. When I arrived at the office, around 30% of the lipstick had already transferred to my mask 👎 And this is just an hour after applying it! Estoy Triste 😕

While yes, I have proven that staying power in the lips is not one of its strength, I decided to be experimental and put one on my cheeks hahahaha! Make-up, for me, should be mult-functional to the point that you make sure every cent is worth it! When I like a color of a lippie I test out if it'll also be a good shade for my cheeks. Lo and behold, it actually turned out... good! Surprisingly though the color lasted longer on my cheeks, compared to my lips ☝

Now we proceed with our Classic Pros and Cons:

PROS
💓 The packaging is slick, and minimalist. I appreciate that you can see the expiration date on the lipstick instead, rather than on the box (which you'll end up throwing away).
💓 No irritating smell. Sure it does have a VERY FAINT smell of peaches, but you'll hardly notice it.
💓 Color pay-off is nice, despite it being brighter when applied compared to its dustier appearance in the tube.
💓 Easy to apply. Due to its creamy consistency, the product glides like silk on my lips, without leaving patches of uneven color. Makes a good make-shift blush too lol!
💓 Very moisturizing, your lips won't feel dry when you apply this on your pucker.

CONS
💔 While yes, I do love the simplicity of the packaging I also had a problem with it. Not sure if the one I got is faulty, but the one I received doesn't go down when I twist it! In the end I just push it back with my lips hahahaha!
💔 Semi-matte whut? This is not matte in any form whatsoever, Peach C are you drunk?
💔 It's not transfer-proof, and the staying power is mehhhhh! After an hour my lipstick had already migrated to my facemask 😕
💔 Very limited colors. Unlike my ultimate favorite: Peripera's Airy Ink Velvet, there are like only 6 shades available for this line of lipstick, and by the looks of it they are only complementary to Korean fair skin 😥

Overall, I did enjoy this lipstick, especially since it's just a freebie from a purchase of mine 👍 But would I actually buy one for myself? Maybe 🤷

BUT Hey, if you wanna try it you may get yours for a fraction of its price! Check out HiCharis' Expiry sale, and you may get 2 for the price of 1!

Yep! I checked it, and the expiration date is June 2021! Not bad really especially if you're feeling extra adventurous and wanna try a new make-up brand👀👄💋

Love Always,
Nicole ❤

If you were to tell my 17-year-old self thalt using oil-based product to cleanse your oily face will make it less oily, I'll tell you to stop bullshitting me. At that tender age of mine, I truly believe that the best way to combat oily greasy skin is to CONSTANTLY wash your face with soap, use astringent, and cake your face with powder- and oh boy, how it only made my skin oilier.

Me. Me. Me

This product we'll be talking about today is an 'accidental', or serendipitous Ay wow big word find of mine during my very first trip to Japan 2 years ago. Ever since then, this baby has been a 'must-buy' for me every time I go visit the land of the rising sun.

Unlike my usual beauty review, I am going to be very upfront this time: YOU MUST BUY THIS ANY CHANCE YOU GET!  Sure, it does have its share of Pros and Cons, but I'm telling you, its Pros trample the Cons any day.

So as I was saying, the first time I got this brand of cleansing oil was an accidental purchase. Originally my sister asked me to buy her a DHC cleansing oil, which she became addicted to after buying one during her trip to Tokyo before. IDK if I was dyslexic, blind, or plain lazy, that I got her a Kosé Softymo Cleansing Oil instead, and hey, she did not fuss because apparently, it works as good as the pricier DHC one.

For reference, this is how the DHC one looks like.

Basing on this post's banner, this second bottle of mine (yes, I have finished my first bottle with Ariel on the bottle hahaha!), is a limited edition. For a time, Kosé released a limited edition Disney collaboration bottles of their Speedy Cleansing Oil, and the bottles that they released have Ariel from The Little Mermaid, and Rapunzel from Tangled gracing it. What made the Rapunzel one a little bit special is its peach scent!

Oh if only we can smell the things we see off the internet, I swear you'll fall madly in love with this product. Now, let's get down to business...

WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS?
Given that this is in Japanese (and yah gh0rl can't read in Japanese), I suggest you check this article for better reference : HERE or HERE

HOW DO I USE THIS?
Pretty much how you use your bubbly cleanser, apply some few pumps (a little goes a loooong way) to your dry face- TAKE NOTE, DRY FACE, then massage it to clean out grime, oil, dirt, and even make-up! Once it had emulsified, wash it with water. Et Voila, clean and soft skin!

WHEN CAN I USE THIS? IN WHAT ORDER OF MY SKINCARE ROUTINE SHOULD THIS FALL INTO?
Personally, this has been my daily go-to 1st step in removing make-up/ washing my face (then I use Micellar water afterward). I use this alternately with my Banilla Co. Zero Sebum balm, which I use for when I wear heavier make-up.

HOW MUCH AND WHERE CAN I BUY THIS?
From what I remember I got this 230 ml bottle for less than ¥ 400 - 500 or around ₱ 200+ in Don Quijote. But aside from various Don Quijote branches, you can also buy this in some groceries, department stores, and some Famima, or Family Mart actually has this.

But if you're not in Japan, you may check out Shopee, Lazada, and Amazon.

ANY LAST WORDS?
Ok, that sounds menacing hahaha! I suppose if you ever get your hands on a limited edition Kose cleansing oil that has a scent, like this peach one, you may want to skip it if you have REALLY sensitive skin, since scents in facial products may cause allergies or bad break-outs.

But if you have oily, not-so-sensitive skin, you'll be saying Arigato Gozaimasu to the Kose Gods for this hahaha!

Love Always,
Nicole ❤

A few years ago I read in an article where my favorite krung krung, Sandara Park, said in an interview that she seldom uses sheet/face masks, where she reserves this beauty thing only when she has an event the next day. I was thinking, "hmm yeah, she has a point," but then again she has the skin of a goddess, while I have a skin of a pauper so I shouldn't probably subscribe to that face mask habit hahaha!

Since we are not getting any younger, and wrinkles are waiting at bay, what better face mask to try on than a product that promises to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles within 20-minutes???

Similar to the item I made a review of : Maybelline Made for All Lipsticks  I also got this face mask off of Try And Review. So, if you want to get free beauty and skin care items in exchange of your brutal truth, I suggest you go create an account now, and apply for products you can test for FREE!

Ok ok, just a disclaimer, this mask does not claim in 20 minutes to get such results, however, it's a known fact that you keep the face mask on for around 20 minutes until the sheet has dried up and your skin has absorbed the essence fully.

I'm not gonna go much in detail, but this mask's main claim is "Instantly reduces the look of fines lines and wrinkles," with the use of its main ingredient, which is Korean Black Ginseng.

To those who don't know, the ginseng plant is used in various things like enhance physical performance, exert anti-cancer effects, and even as anti-inflammatory/anti-oxidant, which is certainly helpful for anti-aging products. You can check out a study about this HERE if you're keen to know more about this ingredient.

Back to the product, it doesn't necessarily promise 'skin deep' or lasting effects, however with continuous use, along with other anti-aging products included in the roster of Olay's product line, this could be helpful in achieving that fresh youthful glow.

So much essence inside!

One of the unique selling propositions of this product is its "Second skin bio-cellulose sheet that provides seamless that provide seamless contact with skin for optimal delivery." The first thing I noticed when I opened it was the netting that comes with the mask, which baffled me into thinking that is what bio-cellulose probably meant hahaha! But oh no, but no! The plastic netting is actually in place to ensure the mask won't stick on itself!  It pays to read the instructions mah friends haha!

Unlike the usual masks you see on the market, where most are made out of a cotton-like material, this mask feels like silicone- almost like second skin. I suppose with this kind of material it helps your skin absorb the essence better than those cotton ones, which might end up absorbing more of the product than actually transferring it to your face.

While waiting for the essence to be fully absorbed by my skin, I decided to do a quick sketch- my only ambag for inktober 🙃

Like I've said, DON'T EXPECT TOO MUCH from a 20-minute mask, however, this baby did help in providing the much-needed moisture my skin needs. To see actual results, whether having a brighter more radiant or lessen appearance of fine lines (because girl the only way to zap away those little buggers are with surgery, no amount of creams can do much about your wrinkles. Sad life), it's a must to partner this Skinfusion mask with other Olay products to get optimal results.

Slap it girl!

For its price, which is around Php 120+ or $ 3, it can be costly to be using this on a daily basis-but hey if you got the paper, make it rain!

Did my skin glow after? Maybe. You be the judge below.

Love Always,
Nicole ❤

Ok, ok, just for a disclaimer I got it off on sale during 6.6 sale of Lazada that's why I got it for Php 36.50 but originally I think it is retailed at Php 100+! But anyhooo, let's go with it.

Before I did a blog post about budget beauty products, particularly the Skin Genie's Lip and Cheek Stain Alive HERE. Pretty much like the premise of my old review, I want to either prove or debunk the myth that these roller-type gel-based lip and cheek tints are worth the C0iNzZz.

Last June 6 I was able to score myself a 36 pesos lip tint during Lazada's 6.6. Originally I wasn't really interested in buying myself another lip tint given that I really see no use for one- I mean, HELLO FACEMASK! But c'mon, who would pass for a lip tint that is as affordable as your daily siomai rice? HAHA!

Also, I got curious with the brand Beyond Beautiful, because aside from selling these lippies, they also sell skincare products like cleansers and serums, and body care items like shampoo bars and soap. By the way, for the record, their shampoo bars are the boooomb!

I tried searching the internet for more details about Beyond Beautiful, unfortunately, I can't seem to find a refutable website nor an official Instagram about this brand so I don't think I could say much about it 🤷

This lipgloss comes in a roller-type applicator, a glass (but very thick so it won't break easily if it falls) body, and a very candy-like sticker tag. On the body, the sticker tag shows the brand name, what item it is, the ingredients, and the manufacturing date vs. expiration date. I think this is important since the item did not come with a box, so it's assuring to see the details of your product on the get-go.

I have 2 concerns regarding the packaging of this lip tint:

1. The sticker tag tends to peel-off easily, which is bad for people like me who don't bring a make-up bag and have a tendency of just dumping it inside my bag.

2. The roller applicator is skid-ish. Ok, so how do I explain this? Hmmm, it's hard to apply this on the skin because the roller produces the product in patches... Gets? HAHAHA!

Needs improvement.

The product feels like a mixture of gel and syrupy liquid, so it's not thick nor is it watery. When applied on the skin you get to see the color immediately, but like I mentioned a while ago due to the slightly faulty roller, when applied it tend to be in patches.

When first applied the color of the tint is soooo strong, but after blending it soon looks more natural on the skin, Just a disclaimer, since this is very pigmented, if you're going to use it on your cheeks I advise to put some product on the back of your hand first then from there put small amounts to your cheeks.

The item tends to dry really fast, and has a tendency to be difficult to blend so you have to be fast when working with this product.

I'm pretty torn with this one, while yes it stays on your lips it does stay on that part of your lips that makes it look awkward. When I wore this lip tint it ended up pooling on the  inner waterline of my lip, and no it doesn't look Korean make-up-like ombre. This is something I always find myself being frustrated about when it comes to this kind of formulation.

However, it's a different story when it comes to using this as a cheek product, because it stays even after swimming! I am not sure if it's because of post-workout glow ay, yes, but my cheeks are still flushed pretty much how it was after I applied it.

PROS:
👍 The price is definitely a huge pro! I mean who would expect to snag a make-up product for THIRTY FRICKING SIX PESOS?
👍 Very pigmented, with just a few swipes your face can be as red as a strawberry hahaha!
👍 It comes in a variety of colors, so if you're fair and wants something more in the pink spectrum this product is good for you.
👍 Can be easily bought in Lazada.

CONS:
👎I have problems with the roller applicator. It omits the product in patch-like appearance 💁
👎The color pools on the inner waterline of the lips, which makes it look unpleasant.
👎 Staying power is meh.

To be honest, if you get presented with a Php 36 lip tint I think it's almost criminal to be overly critical with it hahaha! On the plus side, this performed better than any Php 36 item could ☝

Love Always,
Nicole ❤
