Ok, just to be cleared I am not referring to my cup size, ok? 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️HAHAHA TMI AMPS It's just that for this day we visited two 'A' places around Tokyo, namely Asakusa and Akihabara. Also, this was our last full day in Japan, so we made sure to hit all the birds with just one stone.

Ano pinaglalaban natin?🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Yummy juice!

First on our list was Asakusa, which is on the upper east side of Tokyo Lakas maka-Gossip Girl ng Upper East Side. Asakusa is considered like an old town, which you can definitely see in some of the architectures and art scattered around the city. Aside from that, this where Tokyo's oldest temple is located, which is the Senso-ji Temple. Going to Asakusa coming from Shinjuku, we took the metro, where if you have an unlimited train pass you would definitely save a lot of ¥¥¥¥!👌👌👌

Once we're in Asakusa, we first explored the arcade with its various shops that sell food, apparel, and those kooky masks above 👺👹

Board meeting sa Senso-Ji Temple

To say that Senso-ji temple is stunning is a definite understatement. It's remarkable how the Japanese were able to preserve this amazing work of art for hundreds of years! 🤩

This is a corner of the temple where you can find out whether you'll have a good fortune or not, by paying a hundred yen for a slip of paper. It is said that if you receive good fortune, keep the paper! However if the odds are not in your favor, you have to tie it around this designated stand that looks like a clothesline, in this way you can somehow salvage whatever good luck you have left in your hands hahaha!

After strolling around the temple, we decided to cool off a bit, because surprisingly early October is still warm, we had an ice cream cone from another arcade nearby. There are a bunch of interesting flavors available, like matcha and red bean, but I decided to go for Almond flavor-which tastes like the Almond cake from Salazar! HAHAHAHA!

Behind the scenes of a vendo machine hahahaha!

Pagoda Wave Lotion

Oh Senso-ji, I love you <3

And yeeeesss, I had Ichiran in Asakusa! Ichiran is my favorite Ramen, next to Ikkoryu in Fukuoka! WHEWWWWW! Ichiran is known for its Hakata-styled ramen, which is both creamy and rich in flavor. Unlike ramen sold in The Philippines, the salted egg, and the nori are sold separately from the actual bowl of ramen, and are sold around ¥100 each, but hey when in Japan! I suggest you go here with an empty tummy so you can wolf down the whole set (with extra Chashu), buy extra noodles, get that yummy pudding for desert, then wash it all off with an ice cold beer 🤤🤤🤤 huhuhu, I just made myself salivate hahahah!

Finally, the land of anime, Akihabara! Akihabara is somewhat near Asakusa, so it took us a little time to go from Asakusa to Akihabara via metro (once again). Akihabara is the place to-be for buying toys, electronics, and anime-related merchandise, as well as indulging in interesting themed cafés and restaurants.

These are waaaay more affordable compared to in Greenhills haha!👌

Yes, I want but then again, WHY?

Tastes like Sprite, TBH

Huhuhu, in February perhaps?

best chewy cookie!

I play to win!

And yesssss, we also went to Style Nanda which houses their clothing line, and their make-up, 3CE. For those who don't know, Style Nanda is from South Korea, and the whole store is aesthetically pleasing to the eyes! They have designated corners perfect for snapping instagrammable-worthy photos! Oh and their clothes are VERY STYLISH, but comes with a hefty price tag as well hahaha! By the way, there is something I have noticed in Japan and that is majority of Korean goods I see there are more expensive than actually buying it here in The Philippines, an example is Peri Pera's Airy Ink Velvet Lip tint which retails at around Php 600+ in Donki, but is sold Php 450 here in The Philippines.

I was actually planning on buying a liptint from 3CE at that time, but I really can't justify the hefty price tag, so I just let it be, and hopefully get one in South Korea instead where hopefully it is much cheaper.

These chocolates make my knees weak!

This is perhaps the best chocolate ever! La Vie En Chocolat sells these flat chocolates in different flavors, from classic milk and dark chocolates to crazier ones like berries and sweet potato- which I oddly enjoyed the most, because it tastes like Ginataan hahahaa! It's a bit pricey, where you can buy these by the gram, but I definitely recommend it! By the way, this store can be found at the food hall in Shibuya station (the one near the department store, or is it the department store itself???🤔🤔🤔🤔).

Flying Tiger!

Walwalan sa Shibuya Crossing!

After strolling around Akihabara, we went back to Shibuya to do some last minute shopping- in Forever21 to be exact. From what I know Forever21 is no longer in Japan nowadays, but back then I remember seeing a lot of deals, with dresses being sold for ¥400! YES, I AM NOT EXAGGERATING HERE, ¥ 400 a piece! They also sell boots for ¥800, which unfortunate for me the sizes they have available are too small for my huge feet. Also, the designs they carried there are not similar to the ones sold here in The Philippines, so it was a great time to stock up on clothing perfect for winter trips! ❄

Great hair day, thank God!

With my cousins 🤗

And that's it pancit, our last full day in Tokyo was fun-filled full of food, and crazy knick-knacks bought from weird corners of Harajuku <3 Shall post more about tips and tricks, things to buy, and other sheesh about Tokyo soon!

Love Always,

Nicole 💓

But this picture was taken in Vigan AHAHAHHA!
I must say the farthest I have been to the Northern part of The Philippines was San Fernando, La Union, and honestly I never had the desire to go and see what the North can offer.

But lo and behold, thanks to my job as the Master Grand Opener- este- Brand Manager, I am tasked to open a store in Candon. To be honest prior to working here, I have no idea where in the world is Candon, I even thought it was probably just nearby, like a little municipality in Nueva Ecija, perhaps?

Anyhoo, I finally realized where it was when I was tasked to go to Candon and facilitate the grand opening. The grand opening was last October 12, but I went there a day early to do some last minute preps, as well as check our stores nearby.

To go there, I had to take a bus going to San Fernando, La Union, where the Area Manager of Region I will meet me, and show me around. Since it was 5 hours worth of travel time, and travelling on land in The Philippines at daylight is considered daft, because of the awful traffic congestion almost everywhere, I decided to take a bus going to San Fernando, La Union at 1 A.M. This meant I have a couple of hours to spare in the evening before I take the bus going to La Union.

With a couple of hours to spare, my jowa decided to bring me to Catch 22 (which is a stone's throw away from Partas') where we had a couple of drinks while watching Demoni. Catch had this every Thursday thing back in October where they had showings of cult favorite scary movies, and weird enough, Demoni was among the roster that night.

I arrived in San Fernando, La Union at around 5 Am, where unfortunately the Area Manager of Region I arrived in my location at 7:30 AM. Basically for the 1st day I roamed around branches to branches, from La Union to Ilocos Sur. Whew.

Oh and yes, got to see the famous Calle Crisologo in Vigan! However I heard it's best to go here at night time because it's more magical 👌

This one is a gem! So I bought these bibingka off of Marsha's, and they were soooo good! They are not like the pancake bread-type bibingka, instead they taste like cassava cake 🤔 but don't fret, these are not only delicious, but also very affordable, for Php 115 for box of 12 🥰

CHICHI!

Phew! I am actually currently writing this in Baguio- and yes, because of work again 🤷‍♀️ but no fret, it's actually a great perk that comes with my job, given that personally I wouldn't go to these places during my free time 🤷‍♀️

Anyhoo, cheers to more trips around the Philippines!

Love Always,

Nicole 🥰
