Those who have worked with my in my 5 years of being part of the workforce could definitely attest that I only do 3 activities during lunch time, and that is:

1. Eat my home-cooked (or store-bought one I have gotten while commuting) food in my desk or pantry...
NOM NOMS

2. Sleep...
Zzzzzz...

3. And Draw.

With that, lo and behold, my Lunch Time Art yesterday:

I was itching to do a fashion illustration, but since it takes a lot of time to do one (I'm not adept in creating fashion illustrations in a span of 30 minutes anymore *insert sad face*), I resorted to doing botanicals instead. Also, it's my 2nd time using the Prima Watercolor in Classics palette, and I must say I'm getting now why people are praising this product! It's very pigmented, so I doubt I'll be able to finish a pot of color in a short span of time, so definitely that's a win ♥ Now, I can't wait to create even more artworks during lunch time! Hahaha!

Love always,
Nicole ♥♥♥

Yup, this is the usual scenario whenever I indulge myself in doing artsy stuff, particularly Fashion Illustration and Calligraphy. Unlike before, I don't really get to create as much as I did, because I'm growing into a lazier hag by the minute- just kidding, just lazier but not a hag ☺ Anyway, I would like to share to you guys the usual suspects during my art sessions ♥

In doing Fashion Illustrations, my first step is drawing with a pencil. Before, I used to draw with the traditional wooden pencils (preferably Faber Castell ones), until one day I got tired of sharpening (Told yah, getting lazier), and felt that bringing even a small sharpener takes extra space in my pencil case. With that, I end up with a mechanical pencil also from Faber Castell to save me from the hassle of spilled pencil shavings in my pencil case.

This one is a new acquisition with a funny and interesting backstory. Ladies and Gents, I present to you the Prima Marketing Watercolor in Classics. I'll probably save the story and review for a different blogpost, but so far, indeed this is a good buy for Php 1,500 ☻

I saw this teeny weeny ceramic sauce dish at home, and decided to use it as a mixing palette. Rather than buy a bigger one (which is bulky and wouldn't fit my pencil case), I resort to this, and hey it's free hahaha!

My ultimate art saviour, the waterbrush! I used to have a Pentel Aquash Waterbrush given by someone, however I have unintently damaged it when I used it with masking fluid, and then unable to wash it soon with dish soap. With that, I checked out a couple of sites and online stores to get my hands on this particular brand- by the way, the Aquash has the blue cap. Anyway, will also give a review, plus background story about these new babies.

After painting the drawing, inking it is more of an optional step. Sometimes I just let my drawing be, but whenever I feel like wanting to add more details, I use my trusty .003 Sakura Micron Pen, or my other Unipin pens. Other detailing pens that I use are Dong A My Metal ballpens for details like beadings and added sparkles, then I also use my Sakura Gelly Roll in White for detailing as well, and lastly a gray kuretake brushpen for doing shadows, since watercoloring shadows can be difficult at times.

Amongst the things I have, this is the most important! Ok, fine this isn't art-related, but DAYUUUUM, inhalers are the bomb! I remember when I went to Thailand, the first thing I asked was where can I buy inhalers? I suppose I spend quite a sum for these bad boys ☻☻☻

Iyug-yog mo beybeh

And there you have it, a little glimpse of what I use in doing 'Ahrt'. From time to time I also use, and try some materials that are new in stores, but these are basically the backbone of my art mats ☺

Love Always,

Nicole ♥♥♥

It's been months since I last did a fashion illustration, and well, I find it even more difficult to do one piece than in doing multiple calligraphy stuff. Anyway, aside from the constant stress of adulting, one of the main factors why I decided to draw again is because of my newly acquire Winsor and Newton Metallic Markers, which are very juicy but the metallic color pay-off is top notch ♥♥♥

Anyway, will do a pen review for this soooooon ;)

Love Always,

Nicole ♥♥♥

Soooooooooo, just last week I have finally finished documenting about my Bangkok trip last year. To be honest, I wouldn't have had that sense of urgency to do something about the photos and videos if it wasn't for the eminent threat of having no more phone memory storage!
The feels of having a phone with limited memory -tear-
Aside from all the senseless photos I have taken during the trip, lo and behold I had a bunch of videos of very random stuff. I suppose at that time I didn't really intend to shoot videos for the intention of making a video blog, I simply wanted to preserve the moment and be able to revisit what has been doctored already in the photos mehehehe!

Anyway, let's cut to the chase, here's my first ever vlog ♥☺:

Upon checking on my ancient Youtube page, the only videos I have ever uploaded were a 27 seconds video of me riding the A Small World ride in Hong Kong Disneyland, specifically playing the tagalized version of the song, A Small World, and my stop-motion 'film' which was my entry for a contest with MTV Asia hahaha!

So far, I do enjoy doing videos even if I'm using just my phone's camera, and even a simple app to do the job ☺ You may check out my page here to see my channel with the 3 bestessstt video in the whole of Youtube

Love, always

Nicole ♥

I think I have already said a lot about my trip in Bangkok last November with my last blogpost that I have no idea what to talk about with this one hahaha! Anyhoo, as what the title of this blogpost says, I'm going to photodump photos taken during my 3rd day, and the 4th and final day of my Bangkok trip.

Lol may anit pa ni ate girl!

Ewan ko din

Me,as the dakilang asungot haha!

For Day 3, the first agenda was Chatuchak in the morning since it closes as early as 5pm and is only open during weekends. Indeed, Chatuchak is enormous! I don't think you'll be able to check each shop in a 1 day visit. The items sold there are so diverse, you can buy clothes, accessories, food, stationery, books, furniture, and perhaps you could probably buy a husband there! Also, I have noticed that there are a lot of clothing sold there that aren't available, or are more expensive in other stores around Bangkok, so might as well buy whatever catches your fancy! One downside of Chatuchak, would be the lack of clean toilets around the vicinity, so if you are like me who suffers from IBM (Irritable Bowel Movement, not International Business Machine), better drink some loperamide in order for you to truly enjoy having food coma there. Oh, and lastly, bring cash! Most (if not all) stores don't accept credit cards there.

Clingy

Pag nawala pa susi mo, aba ewan ko na.

Our next agenda for Day 3 was Platinum Mall, which is pretty much like the 168 mall in Divisoria in Manila, Philippines. However, what's different about Platinum is the diversity of clothing that was being sold there. Unlike in Divi where you will most likely see something again in another stall, in Platinum I've noticed a lot of clothes that are quite one-of-a-kind, and very stylish too. However, unlike in Chatuchak, the prices of stuff here are a bit more expensive.

One Particular store that caught my fancy was Moshi-Moshi, which is similar to the concept of Miniso, Mumuso, and other inconspicuous Korean-looking-brand/stores-but-are-really-all-made-in-China. Just like those stores, they sell a lot of cutesy novelty stuff like stationery, pens, storage trinkets, and a lot of stuffed toys, however what makes Moshi-Moshi my instant favorite are their food section. They sold a lot of snacks that are both affordable and amazingly yummy! Their brownies are delicious! Too bad I wasn't able to buy a lot since the packaging of each pack is too poofy‼

BEST.CANDIES.EVER!!!!!!!!!!

Our 3rd and last agenda for Day 3 was in Big C Market, which is a supermarket just across Platinum Market. We bought our Pasalubong or gifts to friends and family in here, since the food sold in this supermarket are much affordable than any store in Bangkok (or at least to where I have been haha!). The best things to buy here are: Mama instant noodles, Milk Teas (the brand Owl is delicious, but I think Nestea's Thai tea is amazing too!), Spices, and those Milky Candies which are just DIVINE! Though, as per my sister those candies are readily available in Susie's kakanin shop near ABS-CBN, Hmmmmmm.

May Mali

Our first agenda for Day 4, which is our last day, was the Siriraj Medical Museum. The museum is located inside a hospital that is quite far from our hotel in Pratunam area. Hmmm, so what can I say about this museum...Hmmmm, well, if you are not comfortable looking at blood, organs, and diorama of the tsunama death scene, please don't go here! But if you are fascinated about the human body, and would like to learn about a lot of things, please do visit this place! Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to take photos or video inside, but here's a blog that you can check to prepare you: HERE

YES! MAY POTATO CORNER SA THAILAND! Pero mas mahal :/

For our last stop before heading to the airport, we headed to Terminal 21 to wash away our minds off the macabre of the Siriraj Medical Museum. Terminal 21 is a mall that has different countries as themes per level, where for instance in their food court level at the basement, the place is decorated like you were in the Caribbean. Unlike the usual shops and stores that I have visited in my 4 days in Bangkok, this one is more upscale, since you can buy some Lacoste here if you want.

I was supposed to dump the photos here, and be like, Eh bahala na, but I refused myself from being lazy and decided to actually still say something hahaha. My initial goal is to dump these photos to give my phone more memory for future trips and more Covet gaming space.

Anyway, Bangkok, Thailand is definitely a great place to explore, and I recommend people to go there for all the free samples!

Love Always,

Nicole♥

P.S.

Don't forget to buy your own pair of...
